Badges

Hat Badges

Picture
Wedge: On the left side of the wedge, centre of badge to be positioned mid-way between front and mid-point of wedge, equidistant from top and bottom edge of wedge. The woven insignia shall be sewn on the wedge by the manufacturing company.

Squadron Shoulder Badges

Worn on both sleeves of the jacket only. The top of the badge is to be 2 cm below the shoulder upper seam.

Squadron Proficiency Level Badges

Centred on the left sleeve of the jacket, the bottom of the badge immediately above the top of the cuff. If a Cadet Achievement and Certification Badge is worn, the Sqn Proficiency Level Badge is worn 1 cm above the Cadet Achievements and Certification Badge(s). Only the most senior badge is worn.

Pilot Wings

If no medal ribbons are worn, wings shall be centred and placed immediately above the left breast pocket. If the medal ribbons are worn, wings shall be centred, 0.5 cm above medal ribbons on the left breast pocket.

The Cadet Achievement and Certification badges are comprised of the badges shown above.

They shall be worn on the left sleeve in the order that they are awarded. The first badge awarded is centred immediately above the cuff of the uniform jacket. The second badge awarded is placed immediately to the left of the first badge, to the front of the sleeve. The third badge awarded is placed immediately to the right of the first badge, to the rear of the sleeve. The fourth and fifth badges are placed immediately above badges one and two forming a second row of badges and they are placed in the same order as the first row. Only the badge for the highest level attained shall be worn, the higher level badge being sewn at the location of the previously worn lower level badge in the same category. A maximum of five Cadet Achievement and Certification Badges may be worn, one per category.
